Hotel Lido

Hotel

Hotel Lido although a block removed from the Prado, this is a much better bet than its nearby sister, the Hotel Caribbean. In general, the rooms are larger and more comfortable. Interior rooms lack windows and are a tad stuffy, but the end rooms have wonderful private balconies overlooking Calle Consulado. The fifth-floor rooftop restaurant serves uninspired budget fare, but has good views over Havana.

The Hotel Lido is an ideal starting point to know Havana, given its proximity to the Galician Centre (Grand Theatre of Havana), the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Asturian Center (now the Museum of Fine Arts), the Museum of the Revolution , the Paseo del Prado, in addition to the main restaurants, cinemas, shops of Old Havana.

The Hotel Lido will have friendly and family atmosphere, in addition to a facility with all amenities. The Lido Hotel offers 65 air-conditioned rooms with private bathroom, telephone and television. The Property has a restaurant, grill, snack bar, currency exchange and safe.

Hotel Hotetur Deauville

Hotel

Hotel Hotetur Deauville comfortable and attractive, this hotel is located on the other side of the Malecón , with a view out over the bay. On the first floor, there is a restaurant called “Carta Nostra”, stylishly decorated with tables facing the sea. You will find fast-food North American style, or alternatively a buffet service. However, meal times in the hotel are a bit restricted; for example, breakfast is served from 7a to 10a, while the evening meal is served only from 7p to 10p. Cuban pesos are not accepted in payment.
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside and things don’t get significantly better inside. The entire structure suffers from significant wear and tear, but throughout 2008, rooms were getting a complete makeover. However, it is located right on the Malecón and most rooms have a private balcony overlooking the sea. The views from the rooms on the higher floors are wonderful, and the corner rooms — with windows on two sides — are particularly nice. The Deauville does a brisk business in package tours, and is often full with French and German groups. The rooftop pool here is a popular spot. The hotel’s advertised rates are a bit high for what you get, but if you’re booked here as part of a package, or if you can get a lower rate, this is a pretty good option for a few days in Havana. The restaurants and inclusive buffet breakfast are embarrassments.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; 2 bars; dance club; outdoor pool; tour desk; car-rental desk; laundry service; dry cleaning

Budget Hotel

Hotel Sevilla Havana, Among the latter is the Sevilla Hotel, which opened in 1908 after several years of hard construction works, which were begun by the investment company El Guardián in 1880. Visual arts were also represented at the hotel with the presence of Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, who, according to anecdotes, painted two murals in the Roof Garden to pay for his stay. Other distinguished guests were the novelists George Simenon and Vicente Blasco Ibañez.

Major exponents of Cuban music left their imprint at the hotel, including Dámaso Pérez Prado, known as the ‘Mambo King’, who performed at the Patio Sevillano with the Havana Casino Orchestra.
