The Hostal Colonial Pepe y Isabel is colse to the Viazul bus station and it is very easy to find. The Casa Particular is very clean with a bathroom next to your room and with air condition, furthermore breakfast and dinner is offeren by the diven Pepe, the casa owner, who is not only your host but also a travel agent and in his real life a teacher for disabled children. If Cienfuegos is your first stay in cuba he arranges for example your next Casas in every city you would like to visit in Cuba. He calls the person and arranges that they will fetch you at your next Viazul stop. He knows almost everyone aorund Cienfuegos so he can arrange trips to “El Nicho” the most beauftiful waterfall i have ever seen or to Santa Clara( he is going to tell you you only need 4 hours), or to Rancho Luna the beach nearby Cienfuegos. Unfortunately he speaks no english, but because he is a teacher for disabled children he can vividly explain everything with his hands. Now he has three rooms free but at the end of the year he has three more. Additionally he has a very nice roof terrace for sitting drinking a rum and enjoing the caribbean nights.

A very friendly hostal run by lovely people. The were very helpful and if you can speak a little spanish then you’ll be fine. It is quite close to the town centre so a good loaction. The rooms are a bit dark but the hospitality makes up for it. Be prepared to be very well fed as they don’t give you small portions of food!
